SEO Perspective Page Content

Good content is extremely important to the search engines, because that’s what a visitor comes to see. It makes your page worthy of a search result position. So, having good content is very important. From an SEO perspective, good content has two attributes, one is that it must supply a demand, and another is that it must be linkable.

The best content is that which supplies the largest demand. It can be a XKCD comic supplying nerd jokes to a big group of technologists, or a Wikipedia article explaining to the world the definition of Web 2.0. It can be a video, an image, a sound, or a text, which must supply a demand that is considered as good content.

If the content is not linkable there is no difference between the best and worst content on the Internet. It happens more frequently than one might think. If visitors can’t link to the content, search engines don’t rank the page. Then, the content can’t drive traffic to the website. Search engines consider this as bad, if the content doesn’t supply a demand, or is not linkable such as the content is only accessible after logging in or the content can’t be reproduced or shared.

Title Tag for SEO perspective

After adding good content, the title tag is the second most important on-page factor from the SEO perspective

Importance of URL

The URL is important and should clearly show the hierarchy of the information on the page. This information helps the search engines to understand the relevancy of a given web page. A bad URL doesn’t reflect the information hierarchy of the website. Then, search engines cannot determine what the page is about. So, it’s better to relate the title to the given page.

SEO Best Practice

The content page is considered very important for several reasons. The content itself must be unique on the Internet. That makes the website worthwhile for search engines to rank well. For example, if a user had a question about Super Mario World and a specific page provides an in-depth answer, it will ultimately help improve rank of the site. Ideal content is always very specific to the given topic such as a product or an object and be hyper-relevant. A Preferably Optimized Web Page includes the following:

  1. Be hyper-relevant to a specific topic, such as

– A title tag including topic

– An URL including topic

– An image alt text including topic

– Denote topic several times throughout content.

2. Unique content about the given topic

3. Link back to the website’s category page

4. Link back to the website’s subcategory page, if applicable

5. Link back to the website’s homepage, using an image link
