The 4 passions that describe me best: Dogs, College football (The Ohio State Buckeyes!), Camping & the Great Outdoors, and World Travel. Being out in nature is truly my happy place. Camping (glamping nowadays!), hiking, mountain climbing, mountain biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, and scuba diving are my absolute favorite activities. Doing these with my sweet dog, Miss Daisy, makes life that much better! My other passions are traveling the world (46 countries & counting!), reading and watching topics on military history, and anything to do with building, remodeling, and architecture, especially the great architectural achievements found in Europe.

God, family, music, theatre, Kairos Prison Ministry. That pretty much sums me up. After an exciting day of learning and growing at HRS, you can find me at one of these. I am a mom of 2, plus a dog, gecko, and axolotl and I LOVE living in the Midwest! Born and raised in the Midwest, the farm life is for me. I feel lost in the city and much prefer the sound of animals to cars. I usually have a lot of irons in the fire so I long for days lounging outside or at a campfire and just enjoying nature.

I’m a mom of two who loves connecting with people. After living in eight states, I’ve gathered a rich tapestry of experiences and friendships along the way. I bring my bachelors in marketing to the home improvement industry, where I enjoy finding creative solutions that help my clients succeed. Outside of work, you'll find me spending time with my family, whether we’re off creating new memories or just enjoying a cozy night in.

The four words that best describe me are fun, passionate, laid-back, and loyal. I’m all about enjoying life, from watching football to jamming to country music. My favorite series? Breaking Bad—hands down! I’m a proud dad to my baby boy, Ajay, and being a father is the best part of my world. Family and football Sundays are non-negotiable, and if I had to live without music, I’d be lost. I believe in having a good time while working hard, and if I could have a superpower, I’d love to time travel to experience medieval moments in history.

I'm shy and very secretive. I prefer staying at home and cooking delicious food while watching movies with my longtime partner. TI long to have a house in the middle of the forest, sleeping on a cozy mattress while hearing the sounds of hummingbirds and feeling the presence of nature. Waking up and living a life like we used to without any technology is what I miss. I can feel the cold breeze and warm sunshine while drinking milk and playing the song "What a Wonderful World," by Louis Armstrong, reminiscing about the good old days when nature brought happiness and fulfillment to my life.

Maria Alvarez

As the eldest of two brothers, I’ve always felt a strong sense of responsibility, but I also find joy in my connections with family and friends. Though I’m an introvert at heart, I thrive in cozy settings. Once I’m comfortable, I love engaging in meaningful conversations and sharing some good laughs. Supporting local musicians at gigs is a passion of mine, and I enjoy unwinding with my guitar or catching up on my favorite movies and TV shows. Staying active is important to me, whether that’s through workouts or simply enjoying outdoors. I embody the saying “jack of all trades, master of none.” I can tackle just about anything you throw my way, but I can’t promise I’ll ace it! I can only guarantee doing my best, as always. I might not be the life of the party, yet somehow my friends always seek me out for hangouts. Even though I often get misinterpreted, I genuinely always mean well and choose to be kind, no matter what.

Fitness is important to me, and I often choose jump rope workouts and running for my cardio. Being the youngest of three siblings, I have a brother in Dubai and a sister in Italy. My mother, a guidance counselor, has been my anchor since the loss of my father in 2012. My three cats bring me comfort and companionship. Sunsets are my sanctuary; they always make me feel relaxed. I prefer beach life over city hustle.

I’m equally passionate about thrilling adventures—whether it’s cliff jumping, rock climbing, or braving the wildest amusement park rides—as I am about indulging in a good bed rotting session. People say the youngest child in the family is lucky because they have special perks that older siblings don’t enjoy. However, I don’t quite agree. I can be both introverted and extroverted, depending on the situation. Speaking of comfort, ice cream is my favorite treat. I love flavors like rocky road, pistachio, mango, and vanilla. I also feel fortunate to enjoy nuts and seafood - foods that many people are allergic to - without any problems. When it comes to entertainment, I prefer to skip suspense and thrillers. Instead, I enjoy watching Rom-Coms, Sci-Fi adventures, and comedies that always make me smile. In addition to movies, I love to sing and dance, often putting on shows in the bathroom while pretending I’m moving like Parris Goebel. I look forward to the Christmas season for its festive decorations, joyful spirit, and the warmth of family gatherings.
